Warranty Terms

Valguskate OÜ products and installations are covered by a two-year sales warranty (excluding textile curtains, which are covered only upon acceptance according to the handover report, and wooden venetian blinds, which carry a 6-month warranty). The sales warranty is valid within the Republic of Estonia. The validity of the sales warranty is based on the invoice that proves the purchase. A prerequisite for the validity of the sales warranty is compliance with the installation, usage, and maintenance instructions developed by the manufacturer, as well as prior inspection of the product in the showroom. The warranty period begins upon the handover of the product to the buyer. If a defect covered by the sales warranty appears during the warranty period, the warranty provider will repair or replace the defective product free of charge.

THE WARRANTY COVERS:

Defects in the product’s material and surface coating are covered, provided that they are noted in the handover report or reported immediately upon discovery and before product installation.
Defects in the product’s mechanism, construction, and manufacturing are covered.
The warranty also covers the product’s dimensional accuracy, with an allowable deviation of up to 0.5%. Installation errors made by Valguskate OÜ are included.
Defects caused during transportation by Valguskate OÜ are covered, provided they are documented at the time of product handover.

THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:

The warranty does not cover defects (including breakages) in the product or its parts caused by buyer-related issues.
These include damage during transportation by the buyer (such as physical crushing of the product or package breakage).
Damage caused by the buyer opening the packaging resulting in harm to the product or its parts.
Improper storage or keeping of the product by the buyer in unsuitable conditions (including excessive moisture or incorrect positioning).
Incorrect installation or connection to the power supply by the buyer (including voltage fluctuations or short circuits).
Improper or unintended use or overloading of the product.
Improper maintenance including failure to follow required cleaning and care instructions.
Modifications or alterations made by the buyer.
Repairs performed by unauthorized persons.
Building structure settling.
Normal wear and tear from regular use (e.g., fading).
Natural material characteristics (e.g., knots, uneven color, grain, stretching, shrinking, etc.).
Products not meeting permitted size limits.
Maintenance and cleaning work (adjustments, lubrication, oils, etc.).
Batteries.
Color variations in fabric and materials compared to samples which may differ slightly between batches.
Color differences shown on the website due to your screen resolution.

Damages caused by force majeure.
So-called thermal breakage of window glass, which may be related to additional heat generated during the use of window coverings and many other circumstances that the seller of window coverings cannot foresee.

Moisture damage between the window and the window covering, which may be caused by poor ventilation, constantly keeping the window covering in a lowered position, and other unforeseen conditions resulting in damage.

PROCEDURE FOR EXERCISING RIGHTS ARISING FROM THE SALES WARRANTY

In the event of defects covered by the sales warranty, please submit a written claim to the seller.
The buyer must provide a valid warranty document – an invoice issued by Valguskate OÜ – along with the following information: buyer’s name, contact details, order number (if available), name of the defective product, time of defect occurrence, description of the defect, and the claim submitted.
Further use of the defective product is prohibited!
Products sent for repair must be packaged in a way that prevents additional damage, and the product must be clean. The seller has the right to refuse acceptance of a dirty product.
If the defect is not covered by the warranty (see the list: Warranty Does Not Cover), the buyer is obligated to pay for the work performed according to the price quote provided by Valguskate OÜ.
Defective products and parts replaced free of charge during the sales warranty period remain the property of the seller.
